Look! Up in the ether! It’s a bird! It’s a plane! It’s a blog!

And another thing: After more Sturm und Drang than seems proper, I posted to my website for the first time in 23 months!! The article was easy to write, but getting it on the internet took about two full work days, or at least two half days each 4 hours or more, the first time with much stress going through at least 4 different reps or AIs. But today, round 2, it all worked out really easy and we solved the difficulty. This is a very encouraging lesson going into this thing.

    The next day, it occurred to me that if this second thezone.earth was what was interfering with my material getting up to the first site then maybe the problem of being able to post had solved itself with the deletion of the second site. That was the direction I was going today. The redundant site was an obstacle, but there were two other problems that had to be solved, one changing the ‘categories’ and the other one was the number of posts allowed on the page. I changed that from 2 to 20, but will have to change it to 2000. For both of these 2 problems I volunteered info to AI, and from the info given it, it was able to figure things out.

    At first the GoDaddy AI or rep told me that WordPress was hosting the site and I would have to go through them. I knew that wasn’t right, and later I found the 2024 receipt from GoDaddy for site hosting. But it wasn’t necessary to prove to them that they were the site host. The problem, it seemed, was that they had 2 thezone.earth’s on my Products page. We deleted the incorrect thezone.earth site at the end of the first call. 

    I channeled Alice’s patience. I saw her a couple times going through lengthy tech help calls, and she just kept patiently following the instructions, never lost her cool, and it eventually worked out for her. It seems AI has much more patience than some humans do, and this helped.

    Why, I feel like a new man. Now that I don’t smoke pot anymore – or anyway I won’t after Aug 19 – maybe I’ll have a good cigar every once in a while. Now if I can repeat this miracle and put up ANOTHER blog post, we’ll really be skippin down the Yellow Brick Road to God’s Hall of Fame. Yep, skippin down that legendary highway, smokin a big cigar, and scorning marijuana all the way. St. Peter’s gonna be handin out big cigars when he knows I’m comin. “Happy days, folks!
